Retaining heritage during renovations to create higher living standards

Energy efficiency, a new roof to fix leakage issues  and maximising natural light without compromising heritage was on the top of the list of the client for their redesign of their home. The client also wanted a modern ensuite and walk-in-robe but required all other spaces to breathe a Victorian character.

We created a new fully insulated roof, new double glazed Victorian windows and a larger internal living space with new windows. Together with the client, we had lots of fun finding the right ceiling rose, the right skirting and the right corniches. Even the ceiling fans were selected to provide maximum distribution of air and minimised visibility in the Victorian interior.

The result is a great Victorian interior, coated in an abundance of natural light.
