- Our Story
Design Without Ego,
Homes With Heart
Tom Hals is a registered architect and the founder of Studiohals, a Melbourne-based architecture studio delivering thoughtful and beautifully executed residential design solutions. Originally from Belgium, Tom brings a European design sensibility and a collaborative, client-focused process to each project. Tom is recognised by peers and builders for his natural problem-solving skills—often finding smart, practical, outside-the-box solutions that save time and money without compromising on quality.
Studiohals is built on honesty, clarity, and quiet confidence — offering thoughtful design, ego-free communication, and beautiful outcomes that stand the test of time.
How We Use VR
StudioHals replaces traditional pencil sketches and static plans with immersive Virtual Reality. Using cutting-edge VR technology, clients can walk through their home before it exists, experiencing the design in full scale and detail.
- Experience spaces at true scale before construction begins
- Understand light, flow and proportions instantly
- Make confident decisions without relying on technical drawings
- Save time and money during the build process
